6 Weeks On The Road

I am editing this post to make it a little easier to read and devoting additional posts to individual places where we stay. It has been a couple of weeks since I posted, so I am trying to catch up and be able to post several times a week as we travel and are now staying from 5-7 nights at each stop. I am still learning how this all works.

As of today, 5/15/2021, we have been on the road for about 6 weeks. I intended to have this blog up and running several weeks ago, but with a 5-day Maintenance Course and visiting family has left me little time to get it online. We are currently visiting our last family member, my youngest daughter, before we start heading west on Monday. We have had a great trip so far with only a few minor issues, a broken door latch and replacement of a water pump. Below I’ll start the list of the first few places we stopped. We sometimes stop for one night on the way to a destination. Walt only likes to drive a little over 200 miles/day or maximum of 6 hours. See further posts about the other stops.

  • Pineglen Motorcoach and RV Park – Panama City, FL – One night stay. It was a nice and friendly park. The sites were a little close together. We just parked, didn’t even unhook the car and left early the next morning.
  • Shady Acres Campground – Mobile, AL – One night stay, shady, open space to walk the dogs, beautiful nature trail leads to Dog River.

Take a look at the gallery page and you’ll see some of the great pictures of the places we have been.
