Continuing On . . .

After DC, visiting family came to an end. We are now headed west. Unfortunately, we are not quite sure when we may see family again, at least through the end of the year.

We stopped one night at Glades Pike Winery in Somerset, PA. We belong to a group called Harvest Hosts that has a large listing of wineries, farms and business that will host RVer’s for one night, free of charge. Of course, there are no hookups, so you need to be self-contained (water/electric). We did a wine tasting and bought several bottles we really liked. The winery was a beautiful place and had spectacular sunrise. I think I may have overdone the picture taking. Take a look in the Gallery.

Our next stop was Indian Creek RV & Camping Resort in Geneva, OH. We were there for 5 nights at ‘Geneva on the Lake’. We visited Geneva State Park and stuck our toes in the lake and it was still quite cold. We rode on the the Western Reserve Greenway Bike Trail which is part of the Rails-To-Trails Conservancy. It is a 43 mile trail that has 12 underground railroad marker that span 14.5 miles of the UGRR (Underground Railroad). We ate at Captain Gus’, a stand on the street and we had Fry Burgers, which are large Angus Burgers with everything including loaded french fries on top. It was delicious.
